Something remarkable happened at the West Bend City Council meeting Monday evening. The 2014 proposed budget was presented and showed the city’s tax rate at $8.52, the same as it was in 2013. By itself, maintaining the tax rate is not completely unique or remarkable since many communities in the state will accomplish the same goal.
